Stargrass(Heteranthera zosterifolia) is a unique stem plant that likes moderate to high light and co2. This tissue culture plant helps it ship to you as normal underwater grown stargrass is difficult to ship.

100% Free of Pests

Tissue culture plants are "lab-grown" at the farms by taking a tissue sample from an existing plant and growing it in a sterile nutrient medium. While tissue culture plants tend to be smaller and more expensive than potted plants, they are 100% free of snails, algae, and duckweed.

We Include Heat Packs and Liners Free of Charge

We have a custom-developed algorithm to include heat packs and insulating plant liners as needed, based on the weather forecast from our warehouse to your shipping address. This helps keep plants at stable temperatures, both in hot and cold weather. Other vendors typically charge you at checkout for a heat pack. We include them when needed free of charge because it's our job to deliver our plants to your door healthy.

Cups Protect Plants in Shipping

Tissue culture plants have been optimized for long term storage. From the day that they are cultured, these plants  are designed to stay in cups for months. This makes them especially forgiving during transit when they are in a box on their way to your home.

Doing Great

Received this plant about 3 weeks ago and it has quadrupled in size. I took Aq Coop advice and attached it to driftwood and rocks using fishing line. It's a little hard to manage right out of the culture dish so you need to be patient with it. So far so good. I would buy it again.

Impressive

This is hands down the most plants I've ever received from any tissue culture. They were put into a medium light and 2bps co2 tank and nearly doubled is size the first week. Shipped tissue cultures can be a gamble but I think this one is a safe bet. I will now never need to order Stargrass again...but if I did, it would be from ACO.

Lovely plant

The plant is a wonderful addition for my betta. The plant arrived on time and was well packaged. I have since ordered additional plants and the quality and condition were excellent. Thank you!

Came mostly dead/melted

Only giving 3 stars as I was able to salvage about ten tiny, fragile nodes from the whole cup and they're starting to put out growth; but cup came mostly black, smelly and dead or melted stems and leaves. Which absolutely could've happened during transit; shipping was done through amazon and the box was pretty warm when it arrived to me. As stated, though, what little was salvaged from the cup is now starting to push out new growth 3 weeks later.

Great grower

This plant grows in my med light, Co2 aquarium .
It has to be cut back weekly!

Leggy

They didn’t die, but they didn’t thrive either. Only the lower leaves melted away, leaving a long stem with a few leaves way at the top. The melted leaves hung on, slimed and brown. I did not enjoy those plants at all, and I have removed them from my tank.
I also ordered corkscrew Valisneria. It melted back and didn’t grow back.
The dwarf hairgrass is taking off nicely. The Crinum calimastratum I LOVE! I really love them Amazon lace but I only added it today, I don’t know how it will take. Fingers crossed. There are a few other plants I like that I don’t remember the name of.
I am fine with not liking the star grass, but I wish the corkscrew valisneria hadn’t melted away. I bought more, to try again.

Tissue plant.

So far so good. Came in the mail in wonderful condition and still alive. We all know tissue cultures need a bit more time to settle.

Tons of plants!

I knew that tissue culture plants yield more than the typical plants, but wowzers! I got so many in this little package that I put some in both tanks. It's only been a week and they're all showing a lot of new growth. These did not disappoint!
