  • A plant for small tanks
  • Not common
  • 100% clean with no algae, duckweed, or snails
  • Not available to be shipped to Hawaii and Alaska.

Lobelia cardinalis ‘Mini’ originates as mutation from the general production of Lobelia cardinalis. It is characterized by its beautiful light green leaves and significantly smaller size than the original Lobelia. This plant grows low and dense, even without trimming. It is easily propagated be planting cut shoots into the substrate. This plant becomes more compact with added co2 and high lighting, but can thrive well without it.

Cups Protect Plants in Shipping

Tissue culture plants have been optimized for long term storage. From the day that they are cultured, these plants are designed to stay in cups for months. This makes them especially forgiving during transit when they are in a box on their way to your home.

Perfect for the Easy Planter

This natural, rock-like decoration is perfect for the lazy fishkeeper. Just drop the entire anubias with its pot into the center hole of the Easy Planter, and place it in your aquarium. Works great with bare bottom tanks or fish that like to dig.

Arrived well packaged and healthy. I was able to separate and plant multiple bunches. They have been in my tank for a couple weeks and still look great.

Awesome

I live in Reno and it's kind of a crapshoot as far as getting plants in the mail but I ordered a bunch from this site and about 90% looked amazing when they arrived, one thing I noticed was that all of the culture style plants looked incredible. The other plants looks great for the most part and I don't blame the company for any that didn't make it because it's clear they took care with the insulated Packaging but I think making that journey is just really hard on aquarium plants. Would easily recommend as well as purchase again.

nice little bushy tissue culture plant to fill those little crevices in your tank

a miniature plant forsure, but its very vibrant for a green plant. it was very healthy with an excellent root structure right from the start. i planted this thing and the rest is history, ordered came very fast and i havent seen a single sign of melting just growing, here it is after 10 days. a nice little plant to fit in tighter areas, to really fill out areas other plants might not.

Didn't work for me

At first they look liked they were rooting but eventually kept floating up. I planted in gravel, so when that kept happening, I used some very small rubber bands to attach to wood, they are just doing meh...not for me. Sometimes you have to try certain plants and some work for you but some don't.

Beautiful

All plants arrived on time and in great condition. The are all planted and thriving in the aquarium. A few plants melted, but we we are already seeing new growth.

Great addition

This tissue culture arrived in beautiful condition. I divided it in two and put one bunch in each of my 5 gallon tanks. There has been no melt back in either tank. The color and texture is a nice compliment with Java fern and Java moss. Highly recommend this plant culture.

cute

Looked cute but was all bunched together and i didn't know how to get it off lol. didn't really get to use it much because a lot of the leaves fell off but i feel like a healthier plant would've been great

Lobelia

I am growing the Lobelia cardinals mimi tissue culture emersed, in a window, and it is growing like mad. Very healthy when it arrived. Going into the tanks soon. Very pleased. This plant sells like something you would want to add to your salad (don’t please) but it has a great aroma

Beautiful color

Arrived in great shape. Beautiful bright color and small size. I think it would do with more light than I originally had on it. It is noted as medium to high. Great color contrast among Anubias and other dark greens. Would buy again.

Excellent plant, neocaradina love it!

I found it extremely interesting that my neo caradina shrimp loves this plant and literally bury themselves in it. Like other similar plants, if you submerge this immediately, you’re gonna get some melting and leaf die off. I literally let this tissue culture just float on the top of my aquarium and it seems to be adjusting pretty well while my shrimp cleanup crew tend to the plant. This plant definitely needs some easy green or some kind of plant fertilizer to keep it healthy. Will definitely buy some more and see if I can get this plant to carpet my aquarium.

Lobelia cardinalis mini

This tissue culture plant came in very healthy. The little plants are a bright, vibrant green. They are very new so I look forward to seeing how they grow in. I've been very satisfied with my plant purchases from Aquarium Co Op.
