  • Coffee-colored new leaves
  • Wavy ridges along the leaf veins
  • Easy to grow
  • Not available to be shipped to Hawaii and Alaska.

Anubias Coffeefolia is a variant of Anubias barteri that is known for its wavy, oblong-shaped leaves that have very deep ridges along the leaf veins. Its coloration initially appears as a brownish-bronze (coffee) and eventually turn a deep green. Anubias barteri coffeefolia thrives under low light and is fairly slow-growing. It does well in goldfish, African cichlid, and community tanks because of its thick, tough leaves. Please note that depending on availability from our supplier, your anubias may come as a potted plant, or bare root.

We Include Heat Packs and Liners Free of Charge

We have a custom-developed algorithm to include heat packs and insulating plant liners as needed, based on the weather forecast from our warehouse to your shipping address. This helps keep plants at stable temperatures, both in hot and cold weather. Other vendors typically charge you at checkout for a heat pack. We include them when needed free of charge because it's our job to deliver our plants to your door healthy.

Attach to Rock or Wood

For a natural look, anubias plants can be attached to rock or driftwood with super glue gel. Simply draw a small line of glue on the hardscape, and firmly press the roots of the anubias in place for 30 seconds or until set.

Plant Transition

Anubias leaves are quite hardy and don't tend to melt when placed underwater. However, this slow-growing plant can take several weeks to get used to a new environment and start sprouting new leaves. Dose Easy Green fertilizer to speed up the transition.

As pictured

I wish you had larger plant options for these Anubias. I think buying multiple plants if you want a fuller look must be the way to go.

Plants came fast, are a good size with nice roots, and very healthy. My amanos are already exploring and making themselves at home.

Looks Great!

Wonderful little plant. Sounds like they are slow-growing, so buy one now! (That was my excuse)
The name "coffeefolia" probably describes the leaves' similarity to coffee plant leaves. They are vivid green and have prominent ribs, just like these guys.

Took over my 10gal!

Gorgeous dark leaves. I put one of these in my 10gal and it grew so big it took over the whole tank! 1 plant filled my 10gal. It even sprouted a flower for me! Love this plant. Will be buying another. My plecos enjoyed the leaves

Super cute, one of my favorites

Plant looks healthy with lots and lots of roots and a couple baby leaves. Full leaves have plenty of texture and ridges as expected.

Great Customer Service

Both plants arrived smaller than what was pictured on the site. The one pictured on the left with the slightly yellowing leaf disintegrated within a couple days. The darker green one on the right has not lost a single leaf and is doing great. Both were glued (with coop glue) to the same stone a couple inches apart. A team member proactively reached out to me following my issue to better understand what went wrong and immediately offered me options to remedy the situation. Fantastic customer service!

Tough Plant for African Cichlid Tank

Anubias Coffeefolia has proven to be a very unique and durable plant in my 75 gallon Lake Malawi tank. I will be ordering a few more to replace a couple Anubias Nana “petite” plants that have not held up as well to nibbling.

Gorgeous!

Great plant! First time getting this variety. Looking forward to it flourishing. Such care taken to properly ship. Never an issue from Aquarium Co-op. I feel they truly care abbot what they do and it shows!

This plant arrived in great shape and looks fantastic. It’s in my African cichlid aquarium and it is super easy and tough. I will buy again next time I need plants.

Amazing plant!

If you are on the fence about this plant or trying to decide between this and another anubius, go with this one. It’s absolutely stunning and unique and looks even better in person. Very impressed with this plant and you will be too.

Anubias Coffeefolia

I ordered this plant on Monday I think. But after I unpacked everything that I ordered. The Anubias Coffeefolia didn’t look so good but I thought it was in the stage of melting and didn’t have time to convert. I gave it a couple of days to start growing or just show some signs of new growth but it still hasn’t shown some new growth. And now it looks like the plant is just dying.

Love it! Say goodbye to my bank account

I ordered a couple of plants and all of them arrived beautifully, the dwarf sag I ordered has even bloomed! All plants in my tank are from aquarium Co op. I will definitely be ordering again! Sorry for the cloudy tank, it's still pretty new.

A++

So I was worried and reading the return policy inside and out because the USPS is the way it is right now. Then when the shipment was delayed by not one, but THREE days in this July heat I figured a dead plant would arrive for sure. Lo and behold, a SUPER healthy, totally A-OK plant arrived! Couldn't be more impressed. awesome packaging!

Came through hot trip like a champ

4-days for shipping in a July heat spell…Darn thing looks unphased. Though small with one plant in the pot, it is in excellent shape.
