  • Pointy, long leaves
  • Unique anubias hybrid
  • Easy to grow in low light
  • Not available to be shipped to Hawaii and Alaska.

Anubias nangi is unique hybrid with elongated, pointy leaves instead of the typical rounded leaves that other Anubias varieties have. It grows horizontally via its rhizome across your tank while sending bright green leaves upwards, which eventually adopt a deeper green color once established. Anubias nangi has thick, strong leaves that are great for aquariums with African cichlids and goldfish. Please note that depending on availability from our supplier, your anubias may come as a potted plant, or bare root.

1

Attach to Rock or Wood

For a natural look, anubias plants can be attached to rock or driftwood with super glue gel. Simply draw a small line of glue on the hardscape, and firmly press the roots of the anubias in place for 30 seconds or until set.

2

Plant Transition

Anubias leaves are quite hardy and don't tend to melt when placed underwater. However, this slow-growing plant can take several weeks to get used to a new environment and start sprouting new leaves. Dose Easy Green fertilizer to speed up the transition.

Beautiful anubias in excellent condition!!!

I placed this order during the holiday's and it arrived lightening fast! Each portion of anubias nangi came in super healthy, packed nicely with a sealable and reusable aquarium coop bag (super helpful for sharing/transporting plant clippings with others!), and at a good size too! I wanted big (but not overwhelming) leaves for small otocinclus-esk dwellers to perch. I also, needed a species that doesn’t get too tall for some of my smaller tanks. These plants are perfect!

BIG AND BEAUTIFUL

I have had some issues with plants that I have gotten recently from co-op so I was a little nervous upon ordering these, but something told me to do it, and I could not be more pleased with the result! I ordered two, and they both came in immaculate shape, with no melt or die off, the plants, have adapted very well, in a very short amount of time, and are already putting off new growth. I will certainly be purchasing more in the future, and I highly recommend this particular genus of anubias from co-op.

Sturdy

Survived the shipping as if nothing happened at all. Roots were a bit thick but very satisfied with size and health of the plant.

Amazing packaging!

I ordered some plants from Aquarium Co-Op on January 15th, and they were scheduled to arrive by January 21st. Unfortunately, a snowstorm hit South Alabama and delayed the delivery by two days. Naturally, I was concerned about the plants surviving such a delay, especially considering they would be sitting on a UPS truck in freezing cold temperatures.

To my surprise, the plants arrived in perfect condition. The packaging was top-notch, and it’s clear that Aquarium Co-Op took extra care to ensure the plants would be protected from the elements. Even after being exposed to the cold for two days, the plants looked healthy and vibrant when they arrived.

I’m truly impressed with the quality of their service and packaging. It’s clear they care about the products they send out and the customers they serve. Highly recommend!

Love Anubias

I love the leaf shape of this anubias! It’s great for fish to hide under and swim through.

Nangi still growing strong

i glues 2 types of anubias and 2 types of java ferns to my aquarium wood. one anumbias died pretty quick, but the Nangi is still going strong. i just glued the entire contents of the littlepot to my driftwood for the anubias(not sure if that was the right way to do it.) the java fern i seperated the roots and superglues the roots to the wood. overall, good experience, plants look good and my silver dollars and oscar leave them alone. the dead one was probably my fault. would order from here again.

Melted

Purchased since it was the only Anubia available and it melted. Rhizome lost all leaves so now I have a naked rhizome attached to a log in my tank. Other plants (swords) are doing well from the same order.

Amazing Plant

It arrived in perfect condition like always. I was surprised how huge it was. Probably 6"x6" with a healthy root system.

Gorgeous

Arrived in perfect condition, and a LOT bigger than I was expecting from the pictures. May be a bit too big for my 10g, but still loving it.

Big leaves!

I'm going to grab a bunch more of these. The color is great and a good contrast in leaf size and shape to my other plants

Packaged Well

I was hesitant to buy plants online, as I live further away and wasn’t sure if they’d arrive in one piece. The plants I got looked really nice, and were kept well during shipping. Would definitely buy from here again, and no weird little white things started up in my tank after planting them too.

Anubias Nangi

Plant was much smaller than expected. Healthy but smaller than pics would indicate. Was looking to fill in a bare spot and having ordered this plant before assumed I’d be getting reasonable sized plant. Had four small leaves one of which was broken in transit.

Aquarium Co-op Plants

I have bought plants and aquarium supplies from ACO, I have sand substrate, most of the plants I have purchased from ACO are doing really well with their root tads and Easy Green Fertilizer. The plants came well packaged, and I am very satisfied with this company, and will continue to use them…..

Nice addition to my tank.

I wanted a plant to superglue to my new cave. Perfect plant for this application. Website guided me to the best option.

Anubias Nangi

Plant was delivered in a beautifully wrapped bag - I almost felt bad having to take it out of the bag but the plant was in great shape. I glued it to a rock. There was some melting as only a few leaves fell off but so far very happy!

Anubias Nangi looking good

The Anubias Nangi is looking great and healthy. There was no melt back at all.
I glued the plant to a river rock with super glue to keep it in place,
Thank you,
Ken

Started small. Went downhill.

The Anubias Nangi I received had fewer leaves than shown on the website. Within a week, all but one of the larger leaves had melted. After 4 weeks, the last large leaf melted leaving just a few small leaves. The Anubias Nana I received in the same shipment has had no melt and looks great.

Anubias Nangi

I recently received some awesome new anubias plants for my collection, ANUBIAS Nangi!!
It's been my aquarium for a month and it is already growing and attaching to Driftwood! I love the different shaped leaves they are bigger and longer than most other anubias!! I would also recommend this plant to beginners !! Thanks aquarium Co-op for always bringing us wonderful, healthy, beautiful plants to make our planted tanks successful 🌿💚👍💯

Worst case, but still pleased

Starting up a new tank and wanted to get a few things to get it going. Jump on aquarium coop, order some, free shipping is just out of reach. Half thinking I scan the plants, pick one (Anubias Nangi), and place my order.
The next day I see the weather forecast, cold front coming in dropping to single digits for a week. Expect my plant to come frozen solid or at least ready to turn to mush from stress. Check my order, already scanned and on its way. I figure I'll have to talk to their customer support and see how they handle it.
The order takes 5 days to be at my front door, a high of 21 this whole time.

At this point, I have written it off as a loss and was happy to see my aquarium equipment coming out of the box. Open the portion of the package holding the plant, the heat pack is obviously spent, the packaging isn't see-through so I take a sniff and nothing smells too off. Open it up completely and this little guy looks great. If you took it out of your tank, drove across town, and dropped it off at my front porch I doubt it'd look better. Leaves look healthy. One has a crease that may have to be pruned out, and another has a few cells nibbled on. Roots are white, with no rot in sight (or smell).

I've had terrestrial plants shipped to me faster, and with better weather but show up with a lot more abused and worse for wear. Well done guys. Thank you for taking the time and effort to make sure this plant got to me.
