Easy Dechlorinator
- Makes tap water safe for aquariums
- Easy dosing cap
- Safe for fish, invertebrates, and plants
Easy Dechlorinator is our must-have water conditioner that quickly neutralizes harmful chlorine and chloramine in treated water, making it safe for fish and other aquatic animals. The easy-to-use dosing cap comes with convenient measurements for 1, 5, and 10 ml.
Purpose: Use Easy Dechlorinator to treat tap water with chlorine or chloramine when setting up new aquariums, performing water changes, or adding water from evaporation. While Easy Dechlorinator also contains a binder for ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and detoxifies heavy metals, we recommend using water changes to remove these harmful compounds when in excess, rather than relying on water conditioners.
Dosage: Add 1 ml per 10 US gallons (38 L) of water. For example, 5 mL (1 tsp) treats 50 US gallons (189 L). For smaller tanks, use a pipette to dose two drops per gallon.
For extremely high levels of chlorine and chloramine, Easy Dechlorinator can be safely dosed up to five times the recommended concentration within a 24-hour period. However, make sure to aerate the water with an air stone or filter since dechlorinators can lower the oxygen levels in aquariums. In the case of an overdose, observe the fish and other animals for distress, and perform water changes as needed.
