Bucephelandra 'Black Pearl' gets its name from its dark-colored leaves with a deep green to almost red color. This slow-growing plant has similar care requirements to Anubias plants and will thrive under low light. Bucephelandra Black Pearl is a rare beauty that would be great addition to nano and large aquariums alike. It will grow along via its rhizome while producing small, rounded leaves.
We Include Heat Packs and Liners Free of Charge
We have a custom-developed algorithm to include heat packs and insulating plant liners as needed, based on the weather forecast from our warehouse to your shipping address. This helps keep plants at stable temperatures, both in hot and cold weather. Other vendors typically charge you at checkout for a heat pack. We include them when needed free of charge because it's our job to deliver our plants to your door healthy.
Shipping to Hawaii is a nightmare. My order was shipped the day after i placed it, and then took the USPS 30 days to deliver. Unfortunately not uncommon for Hawaii, and completely not the Coop’s fault. The reason for 5 stars is the Coop team was responsive, offered a refund or reship on everything when I contacted them after two weeks. I said wait.
When it arrived three of the plants didn’t survive it, but amazingly the black pearl buce, java moss, and bulbs are ok (along with the gear, food, etc.) They promptly offered me a gift card for the amount of the three plants.
I probably won’t order plants again due to the shipping issues out of their control, but I’ve already placed another order for more food and accessories. It’s appreciated they even try to ship to Hawaii.
Great customer service by the Coop team in the middle of a store opening and tariffs.

Small but healthy
Plant arrived healthy and well packed. I saw some reviews complaining about lack of roots but I’ve ordered bucephalandra from other places and this is pretty normal. It had a little metal clip holding it onto the rock wool. I managed to break 3 good sized pieces out of the rhizome and attached them with some super glue to some driftwood in my tank. It’s been about a week so far and there’s been no die off. Very happy with my new addition to the tank.

Great looking Buce!
Showed up a little cold but the buce was in such good shape it bounced back no problem. Probably will try not to order when it’s this cold again though. Heat pack wasn’t warm at all and I got the package 2 days after shipped. Luckily the plant was of good enough condition to take a little bit of stress
