  • Tall background plant
  • Great cover for fish
  • Easy to grow

Vallisneria Corkscrew has been a popular choice in the hobby because of its ease of care and long, grass-like appearance. Its hardiness makes it great for goldfish, African cichlid, and community tanks. Vallisneria grows very tall in an aquarium and can drape over the top to make fish and fry feel secure. Once well-established, val spreads quickly by sending out baby plants via runners where you can get a new shoot as soon as every 3 days.

Healthy nice plant

I’m not surprised at all that I received a nice healthy plant from the COOP. I don’t have luck with Val so this is the only species I haven’t tried yet. If I stand a chance at having Val grow in my tank it will be a plant from them tho so I was excited to see this on the website. I highly recommend this plant and Aquarium Coop.

corkscrews - not just for wines

Since I’m on a mission to get all the plants that ACO has to offer, you know I grabbed corkscrew val. The plant came in great condition, as is tradition. I highly recommend this plant! And all the plants….Just remember - vallisneria plays the long game! Even if you experience melt and even if you feel like it will never take off, trust and believe! Oh and don’t forget the root tabs and easy green. 😉

Cold plants

The plants look good . Ups had rerout the delivery so the plant was cold when I got them so far so good with the plants hoping it’ll be fine. Nothing though nothing that the company could do about that I’m still giving them five star

Looking good!

I came close to buying a plastic version, since I have a group of Buenos Aires Tetras. Their previous owner said they destroyed all the live plants. Well, so far they are leaving the Vals to grow, so I added these Corkscrew vals. They have that classic twisted form, and all but one had plenty of roots and haven’t been uprooted (I think it’s been a week since planting them?) The outer leaves looked worn but the center leaves are thick. They aren’t growing as fast as the ordinary Vals,
but they look fantastic already. Can’t wait till they fill out enough to remove the plastic plants!
