This is a coconut shell bridge covered in Christmas moss. The moss has been grown out of water. This allows the farms to grow it faster and algae free. However when we put it in our aquariums it will die back and convert. This is a normal process. What this means is to see your full glory of this bridge it'll be 1 to 3 months depending on light and fertilizers. This is the only option available from farms and is their way of keeping a hand produced item like this affordable to the hobbyist. Take note that we will be having them under water and some brown spots may have developed and some new green tips of growth as well when it arrives in the mail for you.
  • Scientific Name: Vesicularia montagnei
  • Skill Level: medium
  • Placement: Foreground to middle ground.
  • Co2 Requirement: none
  • Preferred Fertilizer: Liquid - Easy Green Fertilizer

***Being a natural product, sizes can vary from what is shown. Nearly all plants are in a state of converting from emersed to submerged growth.***

Nice decoration for a small tank

It arrived in good condition. My one complaint is that there was a fair amount of coconut meat left on the bottom of the coconut shell. After about a week, it looked like it was getting fungus, so I pulled it out of the tank, scraped off the coconut meat, then put it back in the tank. Where it's in a small 10-gallon tank with no UV filter, I keep the light intensity down. We'll see how it responds.

Exactly what I Wanted

I needed a little something for my betta fish to use for a cave. The little moss bridge is perfect! Here went right in and loves to hang out there. There were a few other seedling type plants mixed in, but I'm not mad about it. I think it helps make it look more natural. Love this!
